On the 4 August the SABTT convened a roundtable on the African Continental Free Trade Area: Unlocking opportunities. Moderated by Ms Sanusha Naidu of the Institute for Global Dialogue, panel experts included Ms Phuthi Mahanyele-Dabengwa from the SA BRICS Business Council, Dr Fernando Ribeiro, Institute for applied Economic Analysis in Brazil, a recorded presentation from Dr Alexander Knobel in Russia, as well as online participation from Dr Priyadarshi Dash of the Observer Research Foundation in India, and Dr Ya TAN, China. Ms Arina Muresan, from the IGD, served as a respondent on the panel.
