THEME:

STRENGTHENING GLOBAL SOUTH COOPERATION FOR MORE INCLUSIVE AND SUSTAINABLE GOVERNANCE

This eleventh edition of the BRICS Academic Review arrives at the close of 2025, a year in which the pressures on the international system remained stark and the demand for more equitable, responsive governance grew more urgent. Economic volatility, widening inequality, and escalating climate impacts continued to expose the limits of existing multilateral arrangements, particularly for
the majority world.

This edition of the BRICS Academic Review reflects that moment. It gathers contributions that engage the practical questions shaping BRICS cooperation, including trade integration and transaction efficiency, financial resilience and innovation, support to micro, small and medium
enterprises (MSMEs), and the policy choices required to accelerate an inclusive green economy.
