About the Meeting
The BRICS Women’s Affairs Ministerial Meeting brings together Ministers and senior officials responsible for gender and women’s affairs from BRICS countries.
The meeting serves as a strategic platform for advancing inclusive policies that support women’s full participation in economic, social, and political life. It focuses on priority areas such as women’s economic empowerment, gender-based violence prevention, access to education and healthcare, leadership development, and digital inclusion.
Through joint declarations, cooperation frameworks, and capacity-building initiatives, the Meeting strengthens collaboration among BRICS nations and contributes to achieving gender-related targets under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
