About the Working Group
The BRICS Working Group on Ocean and Polar Science brings together researchers, institutions, and policymakers from BRICS nations to collaborate on key issues related to oceanography, polar ecosystems, marine biodiversity, and climate dynamics.
The Working Group facilitates joint research initiatives, data sharing, capacity building, and technology development. It also promotes interdisciplinary studies and collaborative expeditions in the Southern Ocean, the Arctic, and key oceanic regions that impact the BRICS nations.
