Goal

To promote cooperation among BRICS countries in ensuring the secure, stable, and peaceful use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), while addressing emerging cyber threats and strengthening global cyber governance.

About the Working Group

The BRICS Working Group on Security in the Use of ICTs brings together cybersecurity experts, technical authorities, and policy officials from BRICS nations to coordinate efforts on ICT security.

The Group focuses on enhancing national capacities, sharing best practices, and fostering dialogue on norms, rules, and principles governing responsible state behaviour in cyberspace. It also addresses issues such as cybercrime prevention, critical infrastructure protection, capacity building, and international cooperation in cyberspace.

By facilitating strategic and technical exchanges, the Working Group contributes to a trusted and secure digital environment across BRICS nations and supports multilateral efforts to ensure that ICTs are used as a force for development, security, and cooperation.
