BRICS Academic Dialogue: Issues in Focus | BRICS Framework for Green Energy

Dated Published: August 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the commitment for a greener world. At the heart of this commitment is the requirement to move towards cleaner sources of energy.

This session will discuss how the BRICS grouping can channel financial and technological resources and lead a green energy transition, which can offer solutions to other emerging and developing nations. The panel will identify areas of collaboration in research and development among the five nations and also propose a global regulatory framework that can catalyst the shift from high-carbon emitting sources of energy to cleaner avenues.
